Moving Forward Together!

Rick de Jong has served two terms as a City of West Kelowna Councillor and has seen this city grow from a newly incorporated entity to a vibrant, forward thinking community.

Rick has been proud of his contribution to this growth, and looks forward to continuing to work tirelessly on behalf of area citizens.

He asks for your continued support and your vote as he seeks a third term on West Kelowna’s Council. Moving forward together, building this community in a fiscally responsible manner, Rick understands that there are four areas in need of ongoing focus:

Infrastructure
Upgrades

Rick De Jong will continue working on behalf of West Kelowna residents with regards to issues such as infrastructure upgrades.

As we improve basic infrastructure such as our water systems, roads, and sidewalks, our community becomes a more desirable place to live, work and play.

Public
Safety

Rick De Jong will continue working on behalf of West Kelowna residents with regards to issues such as public safety.

As our population increases, local government needs to work with the RCMP and local Fire Rescue Services to ensure that resources are in place to meet the needs of our community.

Health Services
Improvements

Rick De Jong will continue working on behalf of West Kelowna residents with regards to issues such as health services improvements.

West Kelowna Council needs to keep improved health services as a key priority - much work has already been done but there is still much more to do.

Economic
Development

Rick De Jong will continue working on behalf of West Kelowna residents with regards to issues such as economic development.

A successful local economy provides resources needed by our community, balancing the promotion of our existing local businesses while attracting new investment and jobs for the area.
